THE ROLE

Pinata is creating a world where people can own the experience of creating and distributing content.We are looking for a versatile and experienced Senior Product Manager or Principal Product Manager, who will work alongside our Director of Technical Products to own the product roadmap for our APIs, documentation platform, and developer onboarding. This role will focus on core internal improvements to our APIs to help us move faster when developing new API first solutions.If you are inspired by creating great products through empathy and data, and excited to work with the top platform for media in the NFT space, then you will succeed in this role. WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Leadership: Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of complex features from conception through launch
  • Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, and Marketing teams to develop a comprehensive product strategy including features, metrics, objectives, and a roadmap for the product you own
  • Entrepreneurial: Own the product vision and strategy for our APIs in close collaboration with our Director of Technical Products
  • Champion: Guide internal stakeholders on product strategy to ensure company-wide alignment
  • Customer-empathy: Exemplify a customer-first mindset and prioritize research uncovering customer goals and needs to translate directly into impactful product improvements
  • Design thinking: Run experiments and leverage research to release new products, increase efficiencies and iteratively improve our products
  • Results-driven: Own product requirements, planning, and go-to-market to deliver on business goals

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 5+ years of product management or product development experience with 2+ years experience with APIs
  • Experience in a leadership role as a Product Lead, Lead Product Manager, leading a product team, or similar responsibilities
  • Experience as a software engineer or demonstrated ability to understand and drive technical decisions around backend, API, and data modeling
  • Experience at a fast-growing, consumer-facing startup or tech company
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and complexity to make thoughtful product decisions based on an appropriate assessment of risk and value
  • Ability to analyze micro and macro effects of your product decisions on customers and the business
  • Exceptional communication skills with internal stakeholders and customers
  • Ability to educate others on the Product function and drive alignment between functions
  • Demonstrated analytical skills including the ability to define and analyze metrics that inform the success of the product
  • Detail-oriented mindset; you believe that a great product is the sum of an inordinate number of small, thoughtful decisions

Pinata Compensation Philosophy

At Pinata, we compensate our team fairly and consistently by analyzing market data and benchmarking to ensure equitable, unbiased compensation.In accordance to pay transparency laws, Pinata provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired and performed in the United States. For the United States only, our salary range for this role is $170,400 - $185,600 USD. For any additional countries where this role may be hired and performed, compensation will be determined by location. Compensation will be determined during the interview process based on experience, competencies, and market data. In addition to salary, we offer equity and competitive benefits where eligible.
